During the hot summer months, heatstroke is a serious – and potentially fatal – concern in cats and dogs. Making frozen treats for your cat can keep them cool and be a fun way to bond with them.
Approximately 2-3 tablespoons organic plain yogurt
How to make it:
Stir in the remaining ingredients until smooth.
Set aside to freeze in ice cube trays.

Catsicles
What you’ll need (about 15 catsicles):
15 8-oz. plastic cups
1 5.5-ounce can of wet food for your cat (smooth, not chunky, works best)
Catnip and/or soft cat treats (optional)
A small square of Saran wrap Wrap
How to make it:
Combine cat food and optional ingredients in a medium-sized mixing bowl. The mixture should be mostly cat food, with treats added like chocolate chips to cookie dough. on our Facebook page Stack mugs on top of one another to flatten the mixture. Wrap the top cup in Saran Wrap and place it in the freezer overnight to avoid freezer burn.
The following morning, run the bottom-most cup under warm tap water until it can be pulled free from the other cups and the catsicle removed.
Fill each plastic cup with about 1/4-1/2 inch of the mixture.
Set aside the catsicle disk in a large bowl (to avoid messes) for about five minutes, or until the outside begins to “sweat.” Make a catsicle for the cat.
